2007 GPX250 - Where to find non-OEM radiator hoses

Hi Team,

I've got myself a 2007 GPX250 as they are known in Australia. Pretty sure it is just the same bike but called the Ninja 250 everywhere else.

I'm looking to replace all of the radiator hoses as they're getting a bit worn. I'd love to get a set of the fancy silicone ones but I can only find them for EX250's made from 2008 onwards.

Does anyone out there know of a supplier that makes them for the older models?

I can of course just get a set of standard, expensive, black rubber OEM ones but i'd prefer the nice Red ones coz they'd go faster

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to Ninjette!

You can get silicone hoses off eBay, Summit Racing, Pegasus Racing, mishimoto.com, siliconehose.com, etc. Just measure yours and match up with something off-the-shelf.

However, note that silicone hoses are 15x more permeable to hot coolant than EPDM rubber. Coolant will "steam" itself through silicone hose and your radiator will run low. Roughly 1/2 of cooling system will seep through silicone hoses in 1-month. That's also why silicone hose cannot be used for gasoline or oil.

Thanks for the info Danno.

Sounds like the Silicone isnt the best idea for a daily rider. I'll look into it a bit more on those sites you gave me, but the old fashioned stuff might just be the way forward.

Cheers!
