Saw a Red SE headed West on Wilson Blvd. in Ballston this morning at about 0845. If you're on this board, shoot a whatsup.

I pulled over in a parking lot to turn my ipod back on and when I looked up there was a red ninja 250 rider pulling in the parking lot. I rolled up behind him and we pulled into the same parking spot, We talked bikes and how ergonomic the 250's are, blah blah blah. Then we started talking about gear and other such things when I asked if he had ever heard of ninjette.org; he said he actually joined our site after he got his bike but hasn't been on in a long time(I mentioned shimming the needles and he said something like "...did you say noodles? wtf is shimming the noodles?"

). He told me he bought his bike brand new from ridersville cycle in WV for $3500 otd last year

. I couldn't believe I found another ninjetter, I have never seen a ninjette anywhere within 50 miles of where I live and just so happens that the first biker I stop and talk with has one. Anyway, I asked him if he minded if I take a pic and post it on the forums and here it is:

Great story and pic. However, where and how you parked wouldn't have been my first choice, as knowing my luck some idiot would have made sure to park close enough where their passenger would end up hitting the bike. Any how, from your story it doesn't sound like you were staying long anyways.

Good to see you are out and about riding on 'Black Mamba'.

We were standing in the other space talking and I never went more than 5 feet from my bike. We were just checking out each others mods and making small talk. I decided to go out for a ride to try and find other sport bikes, and I'm glad I did; The Black Mamba is treating me well, I'm finally getting comfortable enough with most all aspects of riding that I don't have to think about it.

I paid $3,500 + $200 crate and setup at Swamp Fox Motorsports in VA but $3.5K was the MSRP then (2008 model). I also had to break the news to Hillbilly Cycles in WV that they weren't getting the rest of their '08 orders due to Kawasaki canceling on them.

I stayed the night in Princeton, WV and then rode it 600 miles home to Newnan, GA the very next day.

Saw a blue '09 on I-78 EB yesterday morning somewhere near Allentown, PA I think...saw a yellow pre-gen crossing over Rt 30 in York, Pa around 7:15pm earlier this evening.

Yeah, Arlington has a lot of bikes in general - either living in the area or passing through on their commutes. I dont see a whole ton of 250s all the time, but you're right, from time to time I'll see a new gen here and there.

By the way, when (if) you decide to sell your 08 ZX-6R, give me a shout - I love that color scheme.

I live in what seems to be the most southern part of NoVa and rarely do I see anything but gsxr's, cbr's and the occasional r6/r1.

When I was riding my Ninjette home from the dealer at the border of VA/WV, I saw an R1 or R6 while I was still in VA. The Yam pulled along side me as if to get me to group up and then wheelied off. Hard to tell someone that you won't be able to keep up because you're still in your break in period and had just rode on the street for the first time only a matter of hours earlier when you're both riding on the Interstate.

2 Black new-gens in front of Slate (21st and 6th, NYC). One had a Yoshi, the other was a 2008 or 2009 (chrome exhaust). Nice bikes.

That sounds like the 2 guys in the "Danny's first group ride" videos on youtube, I think they're in NY anyway.

Saw a Lime Green 2010 SE in Grayslake 2 days ago. I made a right turn in front of him when he was sitting at a red light he ended up 4 cars behind me but we turned opposite directions at the following traffic light.

Also the guy was wearing one of those funny looking green Icon helmets with horns. It made me LOL. I remember thinking to myself, "sweet looking 2010 SE I wouldn't have minded one of those...stock muffler...looks like it's stock...wait...what the hell is that on the guy's head?!?"

Yeahp, they're in NY. I think the Wes guy has a LeoVince now (if he's the same guy in some jorgecornet videos) so probably not him; but maybe the Danny guy.

I went out riding for about 5 hours today - Long Island, Brooklyn Bridge, NYC. Nice day, pretty windy though. Ahh, I've missed this thread. Yeay Spring-time.

Ran into a Red Current-Gen over by the Eastlake Broken Yolk a couple weeks back. Talke a little bit about local shops and dealers.

My brother ran into a Green Current-Gen while riding to the freeway (we live 3.5 mi from the on ramp with long straightaways) and the guy tried racing him on his '03 R6... whomp whomp.

That was most likely me! I live in Burleson and just got a 2010 Red 250 that I've been riding around. Mainly around here in Burleson and Crowley, but up to Camp Bowie as well!
