----------------- In the intense heat of Jerez, the Moto3 world championship gave it another go at starting off their season, with Qatar a faint memory by now. Raul Fernandez was the early pace setter in FP1 and the Spaniard did a good job defending the top spot as the final time attack got underway but he eventually had to give up the spotlight to Gabriel Rodrigo. The Argentine rider found over four tenths of a second on the competition in the very last minute of practice and led the way ahead of Fernandez.
