Best MSF course in DFW?

Anyone have any suggestions on a MSF coarse in DFW. My wife is getting ready to take one to get her license so I though I would see if there was one that anyone would recomend.

No specific info, but my recommendation would be the one that is scheduled the soonest/closest. They all should offer the same basic info and should be run by qualified instructors.

Also, have you taken the course? If not, perhaps you and she could take it together?

Yeah, I took the course back when I got my motorcycle license and I am a big fan of rider training. It does sound like a fun day together, but I have to say that when I took it there was a couple that took it together and the girl passed but the guy was dropped out (because he wrecked the bike on the second day) and that would be terrible.

doesn't really matter then, if you pass or not. You're already endorsed.

I would think it would be a real morale booster to have you there for your wife, to at least to feel comfortable taking the course. (that is, unless there is considerable cost to taking it)

Good for you in pointing her in the right direction in getting started.

I hadnt thought about that. I took it a while back and it was 180$. I am not sure how much it is now. I would have to ask her if she would want me there or not.

Tarrant County College has these course every weekend, cost is $175 and when I took it I found the trainers to be very good and very nice. A little too good, they made The Box look easy...

Do they have Ninjette's at this course. My wife and I are planning on taking this in mid May. There are many places to take the course in the DFW area and the average price I have seen is about $180 but I would be willing to travel a bit further to take it on a Ninja 250 as that is what I will be purchasing.

No, nobody does that I'm aware of. Standard fare is a mix of Suzuki and Kawasaki 250s with the occasional MSF-specific Honda 125 thrown in. MSF bikes get treated rather poorly in that they get dropped on a regular basis and spend 100% of their time in short cold-start ride segments. The Ninjette wouldn't last long in that environment. I found the MSF bikes to be easier to learn to ride on, and really, that's what you want for a beginner's course.

I rode with "RiderCourse" at their Ridgmar mall location. They have 2 Ft Worth locations and 2 Dallas locations.

I enjoyed it.
