MORE than 40 years on from its release, Bruce Brown’s seminal On Any Sunday remains perhaps the most significant documentary ever made on motorcycle sport. Now his son has tied in with Red Bull to create an up-to-date sequel featuring the likes of Travis Pastrana and Marc Marquez.

Dana Brown has a decent track record when it comes to filmmaking, so it’s not just a case of cashing in on the family name. The newly released trailer for 'On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter' shows that the movie includes a wide array of riders and disciplines, from MotoGP to speedway, motocross and record-breaking, as well as the culture around bikes, thanks to appearances from the likes of Roland Sands.

The film is set to be released this autumn. Here’s hoping it lives up to its predecessors and to the recent crop of decent biking documentaries like Closer to the Edge.
