2006 Ural Raven

Selling my Ural and getting something cheaper and more fuel efficient (saving for a new house). I love the bike, and so does my wife, but I think this is the smart move.

I have a 2006 Ural Raven (limited edition that year, one of 30 in the US, and 1 of 60 in the world). It has approx. 6570km (4080mi). I ride it everyday about 10-20km so that will go up from this posting. This is a 2WD model, but even in the snow, or off road I have never had to use it.

It has the sidecar windshield, and bench seat stock. It also had Modtop mufflers from the previous owner (just repainted with high temp paint, pictures are from before that). I have added a 1.75gal Rotopax gas can with locking mount, heated grips, and HID H4 headlight conversion.

I am meticulous with maintenance, and have changed all fluids every 2500km. I also just did a valve adjustment ahead of the 7500km service. I just rebuilt the alternator drive with new SKF bearings and replaced the grease with Dupont Krytox grease, as the standard grease tends to melt out of the bearings (happens on a lot of bikes, and the Krytox is a proven replacement with a higher melting point). I rotate the tires every 2500km as well (all have about 6/32 tread). Bike was inspected last week, and is current through 8/14.

I am asking $7,500 OBO. Located near Harrisburg, PA. Would also consider a small, fuel efficient bike as a partial trade (think Ninja 250 (08+)/300, KLR650 (08+), WR250, KLX250, SV650 (03+), Versys).

I put captions on some pictures that needed explanation. In the interest of full disclosure I tried to take pictures of any scratches I know of, even though 2 of the 3, or maybe all of them, aren't noticeable unless you are really looking for them. I do have a jar of factory touch up paint for it that I have never opened.

I also forgot to put in the ad that it has an FZ1 fuse block which allows you to choose if the added accessories get constant power, or only power with the ignition. I also have the factory service manuals on CD, and a set of 130 main, and 45 pilot jets. These are common jets used with stock exhaust or mild exhaust changes. I bought them when I got the parts to fix the alternator drive, but haven't installed them yet.

Also the Aquabox and USB power have been taken off

a 750cc flat twin pushrod OHV? i can't imagine it makes much power (65hp?), but boy would it be a satisfying hum.

It doesn't make much power (actually about 40hp), but it is a different kind of fun. And very easy to work on. You figure it was designed to be serviced in the middle of a field with very limited tools, while you are being shot at.

I had no idea is was so beautiful out there. My brother lives in Chester county. I think I'll have to swing out there sometime when I visit him.
