probably a dumb question

I know that this is probably a dumb question. But I wanted to know.
Can you put on a full exhaust system re jet the carbs and put in a k&n air filter. Before the bike is fully broken in? Or will it hurt the break in and engine to do that?

Thanks guys.

You can do that now and it won't hurt the motor. There are so many different schools of thought on the break-in procedure. I did it on mine and it runs perfect. In fact, I think it may even help with the break-in.

I don't think it would hurt the motor, probably your wallet.

I'm of the mind set that you ride a bike until you start getting a bit bored, then you start the mods. It's like getting a whole new bike for (relativly) not much money.

I would do that. But I can't stand the stock exhaust.
