repainted ninjettes

I've been searching through posts but haven't seen much in the way of repainted bikes. Let's hear from members who's rides are wearing non-factory colors. Did you do the job yourself or pay to have it done? Where there any issues with the painted surfaces where your legs contact it when riding? Are you happy with the results? Was it more time and money than you thought it would be? Would you do it again? Pics of course would be great! (posted in pre-gen section because they are the ones most likely to be sporting a new color)

Front and lower fairing after crunch-up

Blame the previous owner for the crunch-up (and some of the maintenance practices).

Bonded the fairing bits back together, couple of coats of Rustoleum spray gloss black, #400 wet sanding to a dull smooth finish, buff to a shine with polishing compound, a bit of wax and some pin-stripes.

I've got the 08 plasma blue bike. Would love to paint it Kawi green but may just do that to a set of track fairings and get a green tank. Or, if anyone would want to trade
