Anyone know why my speedo cable won't screw in?
This is the 2nd time I've had the cable screw off the speedometer but I was able to screw it on last time and this time I'm not....The threads all seem fine on the screw and insert for the cable itself, but the screw just keeps spinning and spinning and doesn't grab on at all.

Try threading it backwards applying gentle pressure till you hear the end of the threads click as the move past each other and drop down, then screw from their as you will know they are alligned, i do this all the time with tricky threads.

Rotate the front tire, so the square in the cable can insert into the female square inside the speedometer.

The wire fits up to the screw perfectly.... that was snt the issue the screw just wont catch the thread....

It's VERY HARD to thread unless it's perfectly straight. Trying to put it on fully without taking the fairings and shroud off is extremely difficult. Even when it feels like it's on right, it probably isn't.

So i fixed it... i put veggie oil on it and it threaded right on... i was thinoing dirt or just an almost stripped nut.... idk but i can't tighten tighten it my hands are too big so i'll just have to check it on every ride... sucks but atleast it still works....
