I may consider it if it's not that much louder and you say it's legal at a track with a lower db limit. What I'm concerned about is that they claim on the track's site that they can/will measure the loudness at any given point while the bike is on the track. When one of these pipes is screaming at 12k rpms I'm certain they'll exceed 103db, hell, i bet even the stocker comes closer to that than one might think.

stock is 80db to comply with DOT. all I can do is extend the GB another week an test them all when I get them. then I will take db readings at 20', 30', and 50'. i'll do it at 10000rpm or something.

First week of august is when the 1st shipment is due since bram was overloaded. Your windscreen is going to be tight Andy.

Haha, alright. Don't worry about my schedule, if need be, I'll just have you ship the screen to me at my college, I'm sure they won't have a problem handling a little box

As for the exhaust, I was originally going to grab an Area P, because it was still cheap compared to most other systems, but $285?! Unlike those rearsets, I don't think this one's going to be able to wait... And if they're going to be testing decibels, they won't be able to be right next to the bike, so I'm sure I've got plenty of leeway there. The guys with liter bikes and what not have to be screaming just as loud IMO.

Laguna seca has a stock exhaust only policy. And even their db rating is ridiculously low so low stock exhausts often are illegal. It's funny to because the F1 cars are super loud. Loud enough you can hear them 15 miles away in Salinas. Rich people tend to kill us poor folks fun in CA. I had someone build a house at the end of my runway and then try to sue me so I couldn't fly my plane in and out of my property. They gave up when they realized they had no case.

Anyhow I will get db reading for you guys after the first shipment gets hear for those of you who want them.

Is it too late to sign up? Is the V6R the short one or long one? What date are deposits due?
I read through the whole thread but forgot all of it by the time I got to the end
You can PM me if you'd like Matt. Thanks!

Tony the GB ends the first week of August. I would like the dposits if you are totally certain your getting one anytime in the last 2 weeks of the GB. the V6R is the shorter one. Tin there is a dyno run of the VR on the front page you can go to the Sportisi main site for other clips although the quality is not that good. Youtube has a few also.

The VR black is looking like it is going to come polished without black. The paint that they were testing was not up to expectations. I'm looking into ceramic powder coating though.

I was right about to grab one, but this has stalled me in my tracks. I really don't like the look of a polished exhaust on the 250. Let us know if you can make this sucker black. If you can, I'm in.

Ya understandable. I will know in a few days whats up. I like the black look but if the paint isn't going to hold up I'm not going to sell it that way. I'm almost tempted to bring them over and powder coat them myself since I have done it before and it is fairly simplistic.

That would work fine, and I understand that you don't want to sell something that's not going to work/look right. If you can give me a definite answer and I know that the can will be black, then count me in for the VR. Since you won't be placing this order till much later on I'm not in much of a hurry to know, you just take your time and figure out the best route

I feel generous. So $260 Shipped no matter how many buy in. And at this price this kind of a GB will never happen again. Since Private label is doing $300 shipped for their (AP copy) exhaust.

Hey Matt, add me to the list please (thanks for answering my questions). If possible, I'd like a V6R powder coated black Just like Andy said, I'm not a huge fan of polished exhaust and I don't want another long pipe either. Let me know if this is feasable.

If I can't make the deposit by the time the deadline's here I'll let you know.

PS- Will you be selling any rejet kits or should I be ok with shimming the needles?

xTKx I don't know about powder coating the whole V6R. Especially when it comes with a black anodized tip. Powder coating is easy enough but it still costs me money to do it. The only reason why I am contemplating doing the VR's is because I had labeled them as black and shown pictures to everyone only to find out the paint was not up to my or Bram's standards. At $260 you can still ship the can to Tim and have him powder coat it for $36. Your still looking at a sweet deal. I'm still trying to figure this out.

List: For $260 shipped any exhaust

1. Ohh Snap VR Black+ bag of skittles
2. Rookie V6R quiet
3. Duvi VR Black
4. Chamus57 V6R Quiet
5. xTKx V6R

To hell with it. For that price, sign me up for a VR. If you're not entirely sure you can powdercoat it yourself then I'll just have you ship it directly to Tim and have him do it for me. I don't care if it'll cost extra money. It'll still be around $300 and that's a steal. Thanks for hooking us up with these sweet deals, Matt, we owe you.

Sign me up for a V6R. Do I have to specify that I want the black tip on mine? If I do then I just did and if I don't then never mind

Is there a recommended jet kit to use for this?

I would say buy factory pro since there is more in their kit. If you use a dyno jet kit a 100 main jet from their kit would be best size.

I'll take a VR6 depending on shipping to canada (or is that included in the price too?), with a sticker or 2. Seen that some guys are asking for the quiet VR6 is there 2 options or are they just saying they want the quieter exhaust.....the VR6

Thanks

There are two versions. I will cover shipping up to $20 to Canada. The balance of shipping fees is on you over $20.

I'm in for a VR6 once you get some info on the difference between the noise level of the loud and quiet one I'll decide between those 2

$260 Shipped. The VR Black should come as seen in the photos but bram has talked about it being all black as well I will know in a few days since he shipped me one for testing. Jet kit either a Dyno jet stage 2 or factory pro.
