New Gear
My helmet, gloves, fieldsheer jacket and rim tape came home today.
This jacket fit much better than the cortech. The sleeves are not too long or big. Im so happy that I don't have to return the jacket. On the other hand, the gloves are size small but still a little big. I return it and order the alpinestar sp-s gloves. people say that alpinestar gloves are on the small size, which is good cuz my hands are small. As for the helmet, it was a little loose too. I ordered med. I will return it for a small. The tape comes with a special tool so that the tape could be applied evenly on the rims. |

Nice gear! I like that jacket...let me know what you think of it once you get out in it. I do find that the a* gloves (the gp tech ones at least) are about a 1/2 size smaller than normal.
I ordered the new Scorpion Awe XDR pants online but they're on backorder |

I'll let you know after I get to ride in it. Now I know not to buy Icon gloves. They are big on me. I purchased those gloves at a local dealer. returned to them and order the alpinestar sp-s gloves. Hopefull, they will fit better. do you have a pic of the pant? |

Ya Icon's gear usually fits pretty big....thank God for that or I wouldn't have a leather jacket right now!
Here's a pic of the pants: The whole XDR line up that Scorpion has just released sounds very impressive, and I'm definitely looking to get the matching jacket that goes with those pants (Scorpion XDR shock): Like i said, though, those pants are on back-order....until june 12th At least this will give me some time to regenerate some cash...i spend too much! |

Ya they're pricey alright, but you get a removable thermal layer, a removable water proof liner, and they're covered in both cordura and leather. Considering the amount of protection you get its actually not too bad a price. I Gotta save some more haha.

Oh cordura is a high end textile fabric. Supposed to be the next best thing to leather. Costs a hell of a lot more though....and you don't get that sleek leather sheen from sporting leather pants
It's actually quite popular for touring gear as leather isn't exactly the number one choice for material to get caught in the rain with. |
