No power to ignition switch?

I'm new to this and learning as I go. I put together a bike that had been sitting for 3 years. I thought I did everything, but nothing happens when I hit the starter. I have a new battery and replaced the solenoid. I have power to the cluster, horn, turn signal, brake lights. I can't find any unplugged harnesses or broken/frayed wires. What am I missing?

hi and welcome to Ninjette!!!

You may have issue with safety interloc switches. This is very simple 5-minute fix with multimeter.

1. Neutral safety switch - do you get green light on dash when gearbox is in neutral?

2a. clutch switch - lever SQUEEZED/IN, is yellow/green wire grounded at fusebox?
OR
2b. clutch switch - lever OUT + neutral light ON, is yellow/green wire grounded at fusebox?

Basically clutch-switch provides ground for starter-relay activation coil. It provides this ground either when lever is squeezed OR lever not squeezed AND gearbox is in neutral. If either neutral switch or clutch switch is not working properly, start-button won't turn on starter. It's very common for clutch-switch to be misasligned and clutch-lever doesn't push on clutch-switch button properly.

Unless you're Superman and can see electrons flowing in wires, simplest way to test these switches and circuits is with multimeter.
