Need some help! Tubes hanging
Hey guys,
I need some help. Recently I just came back from a ride and there are two tubes hanging at the bottom of the bike. I checked my garage and there was a little puddle so something has leaked. It is the tube right under the seat next to the spring on the left. I have no idea where it came off of and don't know where to connect it back or what kind of fluid leaked. Would really appreciate if someone could help me with this. The bike ran fine but I don't feel safe riding with those tube unattached to somewhere. Thanks. |

I just found out from the service manual its the Coolant Reserve Tank Breather Hose and the Fuel tank breather hose. Is it suppose to just run to the ground like that?

My dealer pointed these out before I took delivery of the bike when we did the walk around. I think more dealerships need to pay attention to little details like that.

I think more owners need to read the owner's manual.

Maybe some of us didn't buy the bike brand new so we don't have the owner's manual?

A lot of people don't even know those tubes are there until they do something dumb like over-filling the tank while sitting on the bike. Then they spit gas all the way home and a puddle develops once the bike is put on the kickstand. This is why the owners manual recommends filling the tank on the kickstand and only to the bottom of the gas cap housing.
