Need to repair the ninjas fairing...

I hit something the other day (dont know what.... just heard the sound) and cracked my lower fairing. I need a new one, and i can only find them on ebay for like 90 bucks, any where i can find one cheaper? i need a black one. Also my ninja was repainted by the old owner and is now black, but i dont think a new fairing will match the old paint, so should i buy a new set? thanks.

is it bad enough that you need a new fairing?

Or can you just fiberglass the inside to strengthen it and then bondo/sand/paint the outside?

I just repaired mine. all 4 pieces had cracks . if it is black plastic ( ABS ) it is an easy fix. you need a couple of hands do do it. someone to hold the pieces together and use a soldier gun. make stitch like marks across the crack about 1/2" on either side. when your done that now run the iron along the crack. if you really want a strong finish get some strips of abs , usually a clip board, cut it into strips and start melding it into the crack, when your done use some abs plumbers cement and cover the whole inside. on the outside use a 2 part bumper bondo to fill it the crack from the outside. the bumper bondo is flexible as well. sand and paint. i painted my whole bike with rattle can in my drive way. mine came out great and looks amazing.

here is a video of my ninja . there were a bunch of cracks and where the signals mount it was completely busted off. i pushed everything back as much as possible and started melted abs into the voids. no need to throw away your fairings. as far as paint i used duplicolour grabber green engine enamel and spraymax 2k cut in clear. total body and paint was under 100 bucks.
