Has anyone ever used these to keep their tires balanced? What do riders here think? http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...le-Starter-Kit

No, I haven't use it,..........and I wouldn't.
Some sticky weights are more than enough. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXK204&P=7

i've heard people talk wonders about these.
i think its crap. balance the wheel properly, don't take a lazy route. you dont need any fancy equipment to balance a wheel. just put the wheel with the axle through it on some jackstands. spin the wheel and see where it settles, spin it the other way- it should settle in the same spot. if it doesnt your bearings are going. the spot that it settles at is the heavy spot. you will be placing weights on the exact opposite side of the wheel to counter-balance the wheel. typically the heavy spot is near the valve stem. tape one weight on at a time and spin the wheel until it doesnt settle in the same spot (as in; no heavy spot. you can set the wheel at any rotation and it will balance there fine.) if you have a cyclegear around, you can pick up a strip of ounce stick-on weights for free. they hand them out. i think if you take your wheel down there they will even balance it for you for free.
