ISO extended cables

I'm pricing out 3-4" extended cables for my '05 as I plan to swap some mx-style bars on to replace the clip-ons. I emailed Motion-Pro and they quoted me $73 per custom cable ($83 for the clutch). $300+ seems a little steep to me, but I get that I'm looking for something a bit obscure. I still need to order a longer brake line too, so that will put me over $400 to put on a $20 handlebar

Does anyone have any better ideas? Besides make do with the clip-ons?

I went with lower rise MX style bar and some rerouting the stock fit. I think if I remember there are stock cables for other bikes that will swap in. I will see if I can find the info again.

Stock are 42 inches, so you should be able to buy aftermarket cables 46 or 48 inches and make them work. They are all over Amazon and eBay. You can probably find an oem one that length, maybe even Kawasaki.

I've heard KLR cables may work. Go down to moto-shop and measure some.
