engine swap questions
their is a 2006 ninja 500r that i could possibly have, my question, is how hard would it be to put a 2006 or 2007 600 or 650 ninja in it. I dont know much about ninjas but I am mechanically incline and have worked on motorcycles before.

Anything is possible if you have deep pockets, and/or plenty of time

The 650 twin engine is supposed to be more compact than the older ex500 engine. You mention 600 or 650; I think the 4-cylinder 600 engine wouldn't be nearly as easy to install effectively in an ex500 frame.

There have been a few KLR650s converted to the 650 twin over on advrider. Check out this section;
http://advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=83 Lots of info there. I can't think of two worse rollers to put a nice engine into but hey, whatever floats your boat. |

^ What he said.. That's what I would go with, if possible. And that's only if you can get the Ninja 500 and a replacement engine cheap enough. Do you also know about the Ninja 500 website.
