Fairing question

Hello, I just bought a 2005 Ninja 250. The other day I pulled my side fairings off to get a look at the coolant, and just general look around. I noticed that on both sides the pin holes toward the front do not have grommets. Are they supposed to have grommets and if so could someone point me in the direction of getting replacements (part number, and or source)?

Also on the right side the rubber tipped pin that goes under the gas tank is broken off and missing. Any chance of fixing that?

I can get some pictures of exactly what I'm talking about tonight if it will help.

Thanks!

PS: I posted this same question on kawaforums 250 section and got zero replies in a week. I hope this forum is a little more responsive

For the little hook, you may need to fabricate something similar out of aluminum and glue it inside the panel or rivet it.

Yes, there are grommets there: check this diagram:

Awesome! Thanks Motofool. What sources do you use for factory parts like that? I need 2 of the 92071.

I'm not sure why they are missing but seems like it will hold the fairing on a little tighter.

Sounds like I'm going to have to get creative if I want to repair that holding post.

Thanks again!

Those diagrams can be found on any site that sells OEM parts. For the record, the rubber grommets like to rot and fall out. Tends to happen over time.
