Overfilled Oil Sight Glass

Just got my 2010 Ninja 250r out of the shop for its valve adjustments and i noticed the bike leaking. Upon further inspection i found the leak to be from the oil filter housing case on its edge, not from the bolt. It appears to be tight as i cant tighten it any more. Then i leveled the bike and told my brother to check to oil sight glass and found that the entire sight glass is filled with oil. Is that the cause of the oil leak at the oil filter housing?

probably pinched the oring on the filter housing. if you can do it yourself, get a clean container to catch the oil, remove filter housing, inspect/adjust/replace oring and reuse oil.

take it back to the shop and throw the oil filter at the f**ker's head. Then take a big wrench and beat him with it.

Overfilling won't cause a leak there.

Take it back and ask them to fix the issue. The o ring is leaking, or wasn't installed properly.

Leak and excessive level are not inter-related.

If the shop changed oil, they shouldn't be in business.

Check the oil level before each ride; it should become a habit.

I wouldn't go that far, making a mistake on a gasket isn't the end of the world now.
