cleaning textile jacket

Anyone have tips on cleaning a textile jacket with armour? I rode today and you can really tell on the white part of my jacket where I hit bugs. I'm not sure what to use to clean it.

I'd bet its machine washable, if you remove the armor first. The armor is often in pouches on the inside liner, sealed only with velcro.

I don't know about textile, but my mesh jacket says remove the armor and hand wash with neutral soap.
Have you read the inside of your jacket?

if the jacket is a bit delicate due to the mesh, I used to use a net laundry wash bag and throw the delicate stuff in and then machine wash.

there must be a laundry care tag on the jacket somewhere?

ps- do not bleach.

Man I wish mine was machine washable

The first thing I noticed when I got it (A* TR-C) was that the tag said "dry clean only".

lol... I knew there would be some wise ass that would catch that.

I used to take all of my sweat and mud soaked dirt bike helmet liners out and throw them in that bag to use in the clothes washer. Delicate cycle, some non bleach laundry soap and they are as clean as new. Air dry, of course.

My textile jacket seems to have some dirty/grey spots on the white portions along the arms and I would like to clean them. I tried rubbing it out with some soap and water on a rag but it didn't seem to be doing anything for it.

If I had the money I would lol. I already put a request in for a nice leather jacket for Christmas :P. Sucks that my hours get killed when I'm taking any courses unless I were to get all weekend or night classes.

I take the armour out of mine, wash it by hand with laundry detergent and use a scrubbing brush on the really dirty spots. Hang to dry!

This is going to sound crazy but for stains on white textile, use some Lectraclean. It's a parts cleaner but I use it for everything. It cleans stains from the carpet, nasty spots on car headliners, etc. I'd definitely test it in a small inconspicuous area and only use a small amount and blot it. You can get it at any Autozone type place.

My jacket is not machine washable and it says "Do NOT Dry Clean" on the tag. Ick :/
