Wondering how permanent it is. If it is actually permanent, I could see a plastidip precoat making it temporary, letting you change your entire bike whenever. If its temporary, a good solid clear coat could potentially make it permanent. Looks easy enough. Well... off to do some research !

They clear coat it to protect and seal it.
They can dip anything you want as long as it fits inside of the tank, but don't be surprised if you pay an arm and a leg to have it done.
