Wild! I know, the answer to "how would you spend your $2,000 motorcycling dollars" for us would probably be "a used ninjette, silly!". But Honda selling a brand-new warranteed streetbike for $1800 is crazy! Keep in mind the Grom is almost twice that price, for what looks to be similar performance. I don't think we end up getting one - but I almost want one....

Looking at it closely, it looks like it is scooter based with a body kit to look like a motorcycle.

Cable operated brakes.

I'm guessing made in a factory in China for Honda.

I think a Grom is at least twice the bike as the Navi.

I'm not interested in one.

With more details in the link below, your description of it appears spot-on. It's a scooter that's dressed as a motorcycle. Even still - $1800 for a street legal scooter/motorcycle hybrid that can go 55 mph and get 100 mpg, seems like it will find quite a few takers, especially seeing how well the Grom has done.
