Turn Signal Relay Help

So the first bike shop that I went to swapped my CDI box with a box that wasn't even for the right bike, and took parts of my carbs. I just found out that they swiped my turn signal relay too, so I was wondering if you guys could help out.

Is there an alternative to the Denso fe246bh that I can use? I read in another thread someone used a Napa 552 thermal relay flasher, but not sure if that's 100% legit. Would I be better off getting the Denso off of eBay? Or is there a comparable part I can get at an Autozone or something?

a tridon E34, pretty sure its that one... Tri (user CThunder_blue) he uses these things plenty and knows what he's talking about.

Anyway that one should work, but check with Tri!

Would you be referring to the EP34? Are these things readily available from a local shop?

Thanks for the help. Just ended up buying a used relay on eBay.

I used the basic one with the same connector as the stock one from superbrightleds.com since I went with LED's. I'm willing to ship you my stock relay as long as you pay shipping, but I won't be home for a few weeks until fall break

Thanks man, really appreciate the gesture. I already ordered one from eBay, hopefully it'll be in by next week.

Hi. I'm using a led taillight and led turn signals. All installed with 25w resistors.
But when the turn signal are blinking, the reds in tail light blinks off.
Anyone know how can I fix it? Maybe a relay could fix?

you need a diode for more than one set of LEDs to function properly. modmy250.com has a no-cut diode kit. Ask Tri on this site CThunder-blue, he's the owner of the site/creator of the kit. He can verify a diode is what you need and help you out.

If you're running LEDs, you could just run a 40-Cent 555 and a transistor instead of a relay

Most folks don't know how to wire a 555, and probably lack the desire to learn how. Plus, to fully implement a 555 solution some PCB work as well as weather-proofing and filtering would be considered necessary. It would be easier to just get an automotive-type electronic flasher and make an adapter terminal set, or better yet just buy a purpose-made electronic flasher such as this:

http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product...lay/web1006869

It's plug and play.

True, but if I'd said "I can make a flasher unit from one of the 555s I have in my desk faster than you can go out and buy one from a store", it wouldn't be a very helpful post. Plus, I'd come across like a jackass.
