Motorcycle Safety Test Boots

Hi guys, so found out today that they wont take my motorcycle license for transfer so i have to do the Basic Course.

My question is i have some sturdy but casual puma hi tops made of vinyl and have some ankle protection, not like a converse pair or anything...

Will these work, or what is it their looking for exactly i dont want to show up and get denied...

I wore hi-top black DC Spartans, and they didn't say anything to me.

Great. In my particular situation, they did not say a thing to me about my shoes, and I had a lot better shoes then other people in my Basic Riders Course. Might just depend on your instructor. If you are going to be riding, and wearing riding boots in that manner, maybe just buy them now? Otherwise, I'm sure you'll be fine.

If you take the course, you should have the classroom before you're out on the range and the instructor should be able to tell you what is acceptable or not. Mine said anything over the ankle is okay - hi top converse, work boots, whatever. Most people wore work boots, 1 or 2 had riding boots

I had an extremely long lunch break before any actual riding, (hour and a half) in which time I could had easily gone and picked up some riding boots if needed.

Like a few of the others have said, your going to have a classroom day before you hit the range and acceptable gear may vary by the instructor. Your best bet is to just bring all your gear and see if it checks out.

It varies instructor as others have said. I think tall working or hiking boots should be good.
