Exclamation K&N Air Filter + Maintanence

This may end up being a DIY bc i could not find one but will be purchasing one. Sure it may be plug and play but searching on forums did not bring much. Also mentioned it on the Area P 250 group buy thread but it seams that im stuck there.

I am not removing the airbox, but removing the snorkel and adding the K&N Air Filter that goes in stock airbox.

Air Filter: K&N KA-2508

Cleaning / Oil: K&N 99-5050

Does the filter come pre oiled and ready to go?

how often do i need to klean it?

how often do i need to oil it?

do i need to buy the 99-5050 kleaning kit?

how do i klean it?

i would appreciate anyone's insight on this - trying to make these adjustments asap, trying to install my exhaust this saturday after school. It also seems like i have to purchase these online, local shops do not have them.

He can listen to it on his headphones while he installs it.

Yes
Depends on air conditions and mileage
When you clean it. Try not to oil a dirty filter
It helps but not needed. Lots of air filter specific oils are out there.
There are instructions on the box of the kit if you get it.

thanks for vids @menikmati

Yar i think i got that part down from reading the documents on the K&N website. They did not give any info on how to klean it though. Said after 50,000 miles of use to clean it but , after 3700 or so in a a few months on my bike the stock was black. I figured cleaning it once a season or before the season would be good but no info on that. Anyone on that?

i am assuming that the oil comes with it now that its a small tube in the vid. So probably do not need to purchase the kleaning kit but still have the answer to how often to if any to klean it.

Clean at least at the beginning of each season. More if you ride in the raing or when its dirty. Aerosol oil is easier for noobs and should be what comes in the kit.
