a 120 front and 190 rear. I bet that murdered the turning rate of this bike. This would be a cool bike to just ride around town because you wouldn't have to worry too much about turn rate, other wise WTF?

I'm all for modding your bike to make it personal, but I think that one is a bit extreme for my tastes

Why is it that people just don't understand that bigger isn't better on a rear tire?

When you put a larger than specified rear tire on a motorcycle is isn't "sick" it's slow. If your thoughts don't go any deeper than "wow, that tire is so huge" then I guess it's okay, but that larger tire is more mass. It is more rotating mass, it is more unsprung mass, it's wider so it's harder to initiate a turn and it just plain adds more overall weight. It just doesn't make sense anywhere except in downtown "poser-ville."

looks excellent IMO, each to their own, i probably wouldnt go that far with the mods to my bike, but its a different culture, and the costs for larger bikes are excessive as has been discussed on here many, many times, as far as looks go, that is a very sleek ninja

I'll never understand all the suspension "upgrades" while retaining the stock motor. Seems worthless for a street bike.

seems to be the normal mods for the 250 in other countries.. different swingarm with 180+ tire, different front forks and brakes.

If upgrading to a 600 (like the popular thing in the US) was as cheap and easy as it was here in the US you probably wouldn't see much of this going on. However this is what they do. Performance isn't a concern, just cool modded bikes. Afterall, that is the basic roots of motorcycling. Make something cool and your own and ride the wheels off.

I doubt that bike has any trouble handling. Getting out of it's own way...might be a different story, lol.

In the Indonesian market, getting any bike larger than a 250cc comes with EXTREME tax penalties, like the kind that make the bike cost THREE TIMES it's normal price.

That's why they mod their 250's, not JUST because it's cooler, but because it's cheaper.

Oh and if performance wasn't a concern, then the Turbo mod bumping nearly 60hp wouldn't exist....

Spoken like someone who has never upgraded their suspension. I won't try to convert you, but I will say that no matter how much or how little power the bike has, nothing beats setting up your bike to keep the wheels planted on the road.

It's not about the power, it's about how fast you're going and how badly you want to stop.

The faster you go, the better the brakes, that's the long accepted formula for both cars and bikes.
