Exhaust for Top End

So, does anyone know who makes the largest diameter headpipes for the 250 (mine is an 09), while still maintaining the stock bracket and hanger location? i.e. passenger peg

I hear leo vince...but I cannot confirm. Basically I am looking for pipes as big or bigger than the area p race system, but I do not want the mid to high exit point.

I do not see a big gain from bigger pipes. A full exhaust no matter if it is Yoshi or Area P still only give slight power increases of 5-6 hp so I do not see bigger pipes giving much more if any hp increases. But to answer your question the pipes should be about the same in diameter for all full exhaust, but the Area P race may be slightly larger. See if Area P can hook you up with a custom setup that will achieve your pipe diameter but with the mounting location you want.

yoshi would be the biggest front pipe that will fit beside the motor and fairings with clearance.

flange it out after the foot pegs as big as you like.

dont go any bigger with the front pipe because it will lose the scavaging effect and bog down like if the bike is cold

Try the totsubo exhaust, it's a straight 2-2 exhaust with supposedly the best top end...

how is yoshi compared to the area p full race? I like the area p but I do not like the mounting.

I'd say a 5-6 HP increase on 30 HP bike is more than a little more than a slight increase...

Read this: "I also added a Leo Vince full system, and a jet kit. When we did a fun 250r race bike dyno fest this feb at the track my set up put me in 2nd place behind the totsubo pipe. The totsubo pipe is ugly as hell but it was designed for the 250, and gives the best HP gains. A close third place was the area P exhaust."
