CC, careful waxin off. You will transfer that hair to the palms of your hands. Oh, and you might go blind as well. Especialy if that hot wax gets in your eyes.

Mountain biking; gaming (PC multi-player shooters like CoD, Battlefield, Left 4 Dead; RTS games, though not competitively, racing games like Forza 3); couch potatoing (watching movies and TV series).

I wish I had a garage so I could do mechanical work on my Ninja. All the DIYs on this forum really wake my interest.

I can do this and pretend to work for at least 1 hour a day.

I (do/or use to) surf, skate(board), dive, snowboard, kayak, mountain bike, BMX, inline hockey(1/4 final state championships before knee blow out). I used to mess with Cars, starting with a 1972 Datsun 240z - Rebuilt 1974 Stingray - Nissan 1990 300z - 2004 350z, stopped doing that cause it got too expensive. I would say art, but that's kind of my profession, I have produced 2 traveling museum exhibits on Cuban culture for UM history department. I have a permanent art fixture in the Bacardi Art Museum, and I won the "Just say No To Drugs" poster contest in 6th grade. lol

Ohhh and of course I just got into Motorcycling!

Cool David! One of my hobbies is beer too. Hubby brews it, I'm his assistant, and we both drink it! :-)

LOL! I HATE that crap! Just b/c I love pink doesn't make me all feminine. I love me some girl time in the kitchen (b/c then I get to EAT my creation! :-) , but most of my hobbies are active, busy, hard-core physical things. How about you, Addy, what is your secret feminine hobby? :-) Before you answer, I can imagine all the guys' imaginations running wild with that question!

Cool! :-) How long have you been involved in karate? I got up to my brown belt until last summer when I tore the meniscus in my knee. Between running, weight lifting, biking, riding in the mountains, and all the other crazy physically active things I'm involved in, had to give up TKD for a while. I'm hoping to get back into it for that last belt, but I'm not sure if my knee can hold up. I had to make a choice last summer and I chose to enjoy all the other things I do that are less trying on my knees than TKD and take a break from it. I do have hubby help me practice my technique sometimes, particularly the self-defense. God, I miss that class!

I did shoryn-ryu karate for 5 years. Black belt at just before the end of those 5 years. I can imagine a knee injury would be tough for TKD with all the kicking you do. My daughter has a torn ACL and she also did karate for 6 years and she isn't running around kicking with that knee. It is alot of fun though, but 5 years just got to be long, then the studio moved twice (both times further away from my house). Think of it often though when i drive by other studios. My cousin is in his 40s and has been doing TKD since high school. He's in great shape and teaches it some mornings before work.

It's great to be retired, work takes up time from

sailing and racing sailboats
fishing
riding around on the jetski
kayaking
scuba diving
2 motorcycles - have to alternate or they get jealous
riding around the neighborhood in the golfcart in the afternoon with a BIG drink, seeing almost everyone else doing the same (pretty funny)
taking apart and fixing everything, broken or not
surfing the web and keeping up with old friends on the internet
giving everybody who asks sage advice (used to be a doctor- CV surgeon, before I quit and moved from NJ) and people never stop asking for free advice.
watching the grass grow and cutting it at least once a week (grows fast in Florida)
tending to the garden with my SO - fresh veggies are the best, and almost free.
socializing with friends and neighbors
tending to the dogs
Making beer - once a month or so
A rough life.

Aside from riding, wrenching on the bikes and cars, I like skydiving (OK- only did it once so far) and RC planes. Too many RC planes. Over twenty in the 'hangar'. Here's an old video of a 60" electric sport plane I built last year (second flight and still trimming it out):

I really wanted to start flying rc planes awhile ago. I never found a good one that actually flew correctly. I had one chance and I bought this one from radioshack and the dang thing would not fly worth anything so that f'ed up me getting into it. Still would like to eventually

If you're serious about RC planes go to the RCGroups.com site. More info than you can possibly want. The planes (airframes) are cheap. It's everything else that goes with it (radio equipment, electric motors or glow/gas engines, etc.). I fly more than ride (hours-wise). I fly just about every day, even if it's 10 minutes during lunch break.
