THE GROUP BUY IS A GO!
We can order 10 of these and get them shipped for $25 a piece! Most places are selling them for 35-40 shipped so we're getting a good deal.
I have corresponded with Targa who makes them and the colors available are: black, silver, red, gold and blue.
They are out of black rt now but will have them instock by mid next week. That is when we will have our order shipped so we need to get together on this ASAP.

If you want in sign on the list below. First 10 people are in ( i may be able to get an extra couple out of them but they really dont like to undercut the companies they distribute to so they are doing us a favor by selling us that many at this price)

Motorcycle Superstore has one for $34. Made by Targa, comes in blue, black, red, or silver. It's a bit of a rip off though. I think I can make it at home..

yea, Targa is the company I am talking to, maybe going direct to the source we can get a better deal.
I also have emails in to a couple other places. Riders discount just emailed me back and will be getting me a quote soon. They charge $38 normally on ebay with free shipping. Most places are in that 35-40 range so if we can get it down to 25-30 shipped I figure that would be pretty good.

Jae, I don't want to ruin your GB, but I wanted people to be aware that having an anodized part in such close proximity to a constant source of heat will discolor it until it's back to it's natural aluminum color. You might consider spraying it with some high temp ceramic paint. That will keep the part protected and looking good

is there a high temp clear coat we could use? or do you suggest getting the silver (natural) and using the high temp paint if we want to go with a color?

i just got email from riders discount who offered to sell them to our group buy at $33.50 each! so at $25 each we are getting these at a good price right from the source.

I haven't really seen a high temp clear coat that will hold up well against heat. You can go with whatever color you like and when it fades, hit it with some sand paper and paint it. The high temp ceramic paints you find at the local auto shops by Duplicolor are good and offer flat or glossy finishes.

im not sure why you would need this. does your foot really miss the pegs sometimes and go on the exhaust?

and i feel like if your leg were to rub against this it would still get burned...
