Smaller fairing?

hi,
I've the 2008 green model ninja 250
the problem is I live in Ireland and so the roads are terrible for potholes,
I'm constantly hitting underside of the fairing off the ground as the fairing points out to the ground
just wondering if anyone has ever seen a shorter fairing that would still cover the side but not underneath?

thanks

You'll probably have to fabricate something or go naked.

While its annoying to have the bottom of your plastics scraped up, that's gotta be better than having your headers all banged up right? I'd leave those plastics on. If you don't want to ruin the OEM ones, go with after market fiberglass ones.

Plenty of options; just ebay or google ninja 250 fairings.

Would it help if you stiffened the rear shock up a bit? Wouldn't help from a comfort standpoint, but could make it less likely for it to bottom out and cause the fairing to come that much closer to the ground.

What if you made a piece of metal that runs on the bottom of the fairings....kinda like the oil pans they make for the race bikes, but out of metal, to function as a skid plate to protect everything

We get some bad ones here in utah as well, not so many that I cant avoid them but if I were to hit one it would be bad. One time I saw the pickup truck in front of me hit one with his right rear tire and his rear bumper came within a few inches of the ground. Scared the crap outa me.
