Oooh, shiny!
Finally got the Ninja running well and decided I would surprise the wife with a wash and 3 stage polish on her bike.
Not bad for 13 year old paint! I need to powder coat the cases though Then I thought I might knock some of the mud off of my KLR after riding in TN a couple of weeks ago. The Ninja looks so tiny next to the KLR! I couldn't leave my trusty first bike to be dusty from the road, so I polished up my Virago as well. 31 years old (older than the wife even!) and she, the bike that is, still shines up quite impressively! The poor old frankenbike got left in the shed though!

no doubt!
I hate the square on the virago, the goal for that one though is to do some mods maybe this winter... new subframe, change the angle of the tank, round lights....and then something like this.

Thanks! I enjoy them each for what they are, sometimes I wish I had one, while I'm riding the other, but when I see the (easy) dirt I don't hesitate taking the virago on it.
I have yet to see how I will like dirt and gravel on the ninja

As someone with no dirt experience, she was a little squirrelly on the washboard but I took her offroad a few times. The neatest places are away from pavement.

Yeah, I used to get so much mud on the virago when I would go exploring, and it's not easy to clean. So I bought a KLR!
now i like to leave the mud on I'll be going for a ride this weekend, and it will be the initial (long)test ride for the ninja. I'll lead us down some dirt roads I'm sure

New levers
I think the clear signals Changed up the look of the bike a bit Finally touched up the cases as well. Went for epoxy paint instead of powder coat for now

I posted that on the 14th, shortly before I loaded it on the trailer to go up to northern mi for a vacation.
Well, 4 hours into our trip Trailer was trashed, bikes both banged up. The ninja got it the worst

Yes, everyoneis ok. My wife did get a puncture wound, but is healing, and my mom was ok.
I'm very sore and bruised a bit, but survived.

That royally sucks. Hope the insurance company gets everyone taken care of and then your wheeled family back on the road.
Glad there were no serious injuries.
