WOW the 250 race was bad " " last weeken

Kirk, CJ and I were having a blast last weekend at ThunderHill Raceway. Although i was beaten by them both, We all had fun and went real fast. Two weeks ago Kirk and I did some testing there and we were in the 2:10 laptimes. This last weekend Cj was able to do a low 2"10 to my best of a 2:11.3. A second faster he was. We had all the 250 rented for the weekend and have bike rented for next Mondays trackday at Thunderhill. We still have one bike left if anyone is interested in the trackday with PTT. They are also having a NRS if someone wants to get there licence. You can contact me at bbartlowrace@aol.com or go to www.feellikeapro.com the website is not finished, but still there.

Any 250 racing vids from this past weekend?

2:10 at Thill on a 250 is almost incomprehensible.

Ryan had cameras on the front and back of his motorcycle. As long as his batteries didn't die this time he should have some good closeup shots of me. He said he would post them later this week.

That it is!!! There are a lot of people racing big bikes are not going that fast, and Thunderhill is a horsepower track! I've got some work ahead of me just to keep up with those guys.

That being said our "best-of-the-rest" group had about 5 bikes in it trading positions (and paint) from flag-to-flag. Fun stuff!

CJ has the advantage on the rest of the group weighing 130 pounds. I'm scared to put him on a further prepped bike with an ignition setup. Brian we need to head down to see gregg and get that fresh motor in your bike.

I had a GREAT weekend. I was able to keep sight of you guys up front (Kirk, CJ, Brian, Mark, Wesley) for the first two corners so that made me happy. The second pack was full of action for both races and I'm working on editing the videos together now.

New 250P track record

Going back thru the archives, the previous 250P track record was set by Yoav Damti with 2:10:498, the next best was Michael Corbino with 2:11.637. Both were shattered by Kirk (2:09.997) and CJ,(2:10.417) with Brian (2:11.326) right there as well. Congrats to all!

I'm working on it. I just started using Sony Vegas and it's a bit daunting to learn. Then I'm undecided on how exactly I want to edit the views together (straight split screen or back and forth). I might just throw up a poor split screen just to get the video up...

Man those first bikes were gone after a few turns - guessing engine work makes the difference.

Not really. The biggest advantage that those bikes have over the rest is an open throttle. One of the front runners, CJ Weaver, is on a completely stock rental bike. So they're just carrying more corner speed than I'm comfortable with... What I heard was that, through turn 2, CJ wasn't dragging elbow he was dragging FOREARM.

Hello all this is CJ's dad. FYI we have the video from the 250 prod race, and we will post it when CJ is better. He crashed and has a concusion from the Supermoto Pro qualifying race in Reno on Saturday. I do not know how to use the movie maker software, so when he is up to it I will have him post it.

That is correct on both accounts. Pirelli tires and absolutly no suspension work, nor do they have rear sets and have the stock bars. I believe the only thing done is the pipe and fairings.

Yup pipe and a jet kit is about it. Racers who wish to upgrade to certain parts can do so. So they can customize and add rearsets and clipons if they want to for pretty cheap. The pirellis are an expensive ass tire to $340+ a set.

really that expensive? i believe i payed 160 for my sport demons 110 front, but only a 130 rear. cant imagine another $180 for the extra width on the rear...

The difference in tires is night and day. The Sport Demon is a 1990's vintage bias-ply sport touring tire. The Diablo Supercorsa is a 2010 model radial race tire available in your choice of compounds. These are the tires that the World Superbikes race on.

i see i have mixed up diablo and demon... silly me. but more shame on pirelli for making their tire names so similar. think my demons would do ok at the track? looking to go in july or august.
