I am currently surfing this forum on an IPad. I like it much better than a laptop for web surfing.

Yeah its def better then holding my laptop..been trying out a few different keyboards though, found one that splits it in half so one side of the keys are on the left and other half on the right so you can use your thumbs to type while holding. Also got a Bluetooth keyboard which is nice but makes it like a netbook then.

I use a first gen iPad. It's very enjoyable for surfing. Facebook is the only thing that doesn't work right, but that's not exactly a surprise.

For fb i use MyPad since theres no exact fb app for ipad. I actually use it for school for note taking and stuff. But never for writing papers. Good big plus of ipad vs laptop is battery life, weight, and dont have to wait to turn it on or shut down. Plus i got my school books on it as well!

I love my iPad and use it for a lot of things. I read magazines and I stream radio through it. I also have a smaller Droid pad running 2.2 Froyo and I love it as well. iPad has better battery life and is more clean but the droid has more possibilities and very hackable and the apps are becoming more impressive.
Has anyone used one to latrine surf yet? |

Please post up if you are able. I like the screen on the Galaxy. If you are on a budget and need a tablet look at the Coby Kyros 7022. You can hack it and get android market. I am guessing most know you can download just about any music or movie using a droid for a cost of $0. That is a big appeal of the droid and those of us who also like Linux and open source. Why we are on the subject has anyone tried the latest version of Puppy Linux. I have an old copy on a thumb drive I do recoverables from and liked the GUI of the new Puppy. |

I had a 64GB WiFi iPad. I liked it but for the $900-ish price tag I wasn't crazy about it. I sold it when someone offered me $20 less then what I paid Now I have a 16GB HP Touchpad which I honestly think is the best Tablet on the market

Well right now I'm at 51% battery and its been off charge since about 10am.. so going on 12hrs. My wife just had it the last 3hrs straight! And yeah I know about android phones, especially running my evo3d overclocked to 1.7 I'm lucky to get 8hrs of Moderate use lol.. i havent attempted to root or overclock the 10.1 yet cause it runs pretty smooth out the box... seen they had some roms outfor them already and overclocked to 1.4 I believe. I was reading about the touchpad I herd they stopped production on them because of poor sales, even dropped the price to $99 to get them sold.. they sell Them with android os they will sell actually read the next batch they come out withwill be android supposedly.

Its a cool tab so far.. bought the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for it also, makes it real nice using that on a table or something plus the Logitech comes with a stand to hold the tab while using the keyboard.

There's YouTube videos on it that's how I decided which to get. Samsung makes one also but its a dock not Bluetooth , plus its all white and reminds me of something apple would make .. altho i have the white 10.1 so i make no sense haha! But the Logitech is all black and says use for all android honeycomb 3.0 + tabs.. but I find my self using it and saying this defeats the purpose of it being a tablet lol .. also still on yesterdays charge, 34% left. Been using it almost a hour now this morning. Definitely no comparison to android phone battery

Little over 15hrs off the charger with pretty heavy use today.. at 15% now and throwing on the charger.. not bad tho considering this is basically untweaked out the box. So can only get better with tweaking and more charge cycles on the battery. Only really had 2 full charges. Here's a screen shot showing how long on battery.

I think I want the OLD 7" Galaxy Tab (I love the case). Or maybe the Lenovo one, it's only $199!
