Battery Storage

I just have a quick question. I tried searching but the word battery brings up a lot of results. I live in NY where the temps will be freezing for the next 3 months. I was planning on storing my battery, hooked up to a battery tender, in my unheated garage. Will this cause any damage to my battery having it be near frozen while hooked up to the tender. The tender I have is made so it only charges when it needs to, I just heard somewhere you shouldn't charge the battery if its frozen.

Its a stock 2007 ninja 250 battery. I just didnt really trust having the battery charging inside my house. Ik i may be worrying about nothing but I would rather have my garage burn down then my house (worse case)

If it's fully charged, it's highly unlikely to freeze. The electrolyte would have to get to some pretty low temperatures (much lower than freezing) before any concern. If the battery tender is hooked up to it full-time, I wouldn't expect to have any problem at all.

Like Alex said, your bike battery will be fine in the garage. People have cars stored in unheated garages or outside in freezing temps and car batteries don't freeze so the same holds true for a bikes battery.
