Anyone wear glasses?

So I've been trying on my helmet a few times and I think I've figured out the best way to sit my glasses without them moving. I think the main problem is since it's a new helmet the cheek pads are still a bit stiff which makes them more or so sit on the pads rather than my head so to speak. But if i push them as far back as i can and then angle the front they seem to sit still when i move my head around a lot, not sure if it will be the same on the road.

Anyone wear glasses in their helmet and have tips to make life easier? I suppose the most direct answer would be to get eye contacts but I've always been on the fence about touching my eyeballs...

I wear glasses and have no problems with them and my helmet. Then again, I'm perfect.

I've had trouble with my Scorpion Exo-400 and some of my glasses. Only one of my three pairs will fit comfortably in the helmet, though they seem to get a little bent. I just try to slide the ear pieces along my head until I can hook them behind my ear.

IF your helmet fits snug so it doesn't move around loose on your head.
My helmet doesn't move so my glasses stay put for the most part. I have contacts but almost never wear them while ridding.

Yeah my helmet is literally the perfect shape for my head so it doesn't move at all, I'm pretty positive i shouldn't have any problems. But if there are any secret tips i'd love to know them .

I try and wear contacts when I can. Glasses are annoying because if the helmet shifts at all, they glasses shift also.

You get used to it after a while. They'll burn at first but that's just because your eyelids have to develop calluses on the inside. It's a weird idea, but that's what I was told at least.

Anyways, yes, I ride with my glasses on once in a while. Mine fit pretty much perfectly against my cheek pads and never move, though, so I'm not sure how to help you with that. Sorry

I've been wearing a modular helmet for the past 3 years. I also have a traditional full face. I like the convenience of the modular as I don't have to remove my helmet or glasses often, especially when traveling. My full face is quieter and snugger and a little lighter. I wear it on shorter rides where I don't have to remove my helmet at all. My modular is very solid looks and fits good.

I usually wear contacts, but I wear my sunglasses a lot. I don't know that I really have any tips, but I will say I had to get used to fitting the glasses in my helmet rather than worrying about them fitting on my face like they usually do. It's really just a matter of getting used to it.

For the first 6 or 7months I rode I wore glasses without any issues on a cruiser, but when I got the Ninja I didnt want to deal with making my camera clear them AND the internal sun shade. I switched back to contacts just to make it easier.

I wear an HJC IS-16.

Glasses while riding

The only glasses I wear while riding are my sun glasses if I need them. My sun glasses are very dark and quite large with wire frames. I wear a full face helmet and have to be careful when I put my helmet on over the glasses. I think the trick is to have a very good fitting helmet. Ride safe my friends.

Does this mean you have your glasses on, then you pull your helmet over your head?

I was wondering about that as well lol, I was under the impression that the easiest and least painful way to do it was helmet first then lift visor and slide the glasses in between the padding and the sides of your head o.0.

I wear glasses with my Qwest. They were super uncomfortable at first, not sitting on my ears and nose bridge, and instead floating by being held against my head. Once the helmet padding softened and becam a little more shapely (two weeks of riding), and after removing the think rubber on the ends of the frame arms, they are pretty much unnoticeable. If they sit to close to your face, at least in my case, they tend to fog, but otherwise problem free.

I wear sunglasses all the time. I just jam em in and wiggle them around until they are comfy. On the freeway the wind lifts my helmet a bit which lifts the glasses and kinda pokes me in the top of my eye socket, you just get used to it.

the best would be to ditch the helmet if you are going to ride with glasses.
Helmets are for pu*** riders who are not confident of their riding skills

but if you really like that good for nothing heavy piece of junk- try contacts

I chose my helmet based on how my glasses fit... then when I got new glasses, I brought my helmet to make sure the prospective glasses still fit.

No issues here.

Yay planning things out!

I bought the HJC CS-R1 specifically because my glasses fit awesome in it. It fits my head too mind you. It was the first helmet i tried on and the only one that fit my big black hipster frame glasses. Better yet it was closeout $80. I'm still really impressed that they fit perfectly, I was about to buy new flexible ones.

I wear glasses primarily and I had issues with my light weight flexon glasses because it was hard to get the thing around the back of my ears. My solution was to get those oakley styled frames where the temple pieces were straight and had a little bit of silicone rubber to keep the glasses on my head. Works great and they stay where I want them for hours.

I wear contacts but I always wear sunglasses when riding. The wider, slightly flexible, straight stemmed plastic is easy to jam in my helmet, and stays put well. My thin wire frame glasses on the other hand are a PITA, and the arms usually migrate up into a crease in the helmet padding, so I very rarely ride with them, and never very far.

When shopping for a helmet, I always check to see if my glasses fit inside. I've never had any trouble with Icon, Bell, or Shoei helmets while using my glasses, but it is very dependant on your own head. If it means anything, Scorpion nor HJC helmets ever let my glasses sit right, the pads would pull them up off of my nose.

I've worn contacts before, and did so for a little over a month, but honestly, never really liked them or got used to them, plus I just feel more like me with glasses.

The glasses I've used have always had the usual bend that holds them behind the ear, no straight pieces like the oakleys. I just ordered a ray ban wayfarers in my presciption, and I really hope they fit inside with out any real hassle.

My glasses fit fine in my HJC, but in the Shoei Qwest they angle a bit downward to the front unless I spend a little extra time to level them off.
