Coolant in oil - a frothy mess!

I'm not worried about how it happened, I know how it happened (accidentally spilled it with the valve cover off). I just changed the oil, but I still have a soapy/frothy mess on the inside of the engines. How big a deal is this? I'm hoping it will burn odd, but I'm concerned the residue might clog the oil jets... Now what?

buy a gallon jug of conventional supertech 10-40 (non ec) oil at walmart. ride the bike till it's nice and hot, then change the oil. if it still appears to be milky after the oil change, ride it a few times, then change it again. Oil should appear good at that point in the sight glass. I've gotten water in the crankcase of my dirt bikes before and it takes at least 2 flushes to get all of the water out of the crankcase.

After the oil is back to normal looking, do an oil and filter change to what you normally use.

Awe, and I just used the $$ stuff.... I'll pick some if that up. Will this cause any damage if it isn't taken care of asap?

I wouldn't leave it in and try to save money, if that's what you're asking. water will break down the oil and diminish it's ability to lubricate properly.

just think of it as a cheap solution to your screw up. it could have been a lot wor$e.

I wasn't thinking of leaving it... just using it to go to work.

It was a small amount that got it, but the foaming reaction sure was dramatic.

The foaming reaction can cause bearings to spin, which will destroy your motor. The coolant will change the viscosity of the oil. <--Just like Kelly said.
