Just installed Corbin seat

The usual adjustment problem for the bracket was solved by loosening up the bolts on the seat and slightly moving the bracket, it has a few mm of play (back and forth as well as in/out). If you find your bracket isn't lined up due to height problem then you did not install the seat completely, it takes a few minutes to make sure it's seated properly.
Due to rain I can't tell whether the slide forward problem is solved but the seat IS more cushy, just by sitting on it in the garage. By looking at it I think it will be more convenient, the nose of the seat is definitely longer and slightly higher.

Pix for comparing the stock vs Corbin.

Looks good. I like how it's a little higher, the stock seat is a little low for me. Where'd you get it?

Ordered from Corbin. They didnt have it in stock so it took 2.5 weeks to have it made.

I'd love a review once you get a chance to ride. I've been interested for a while, but haven't been able to pull the trigger on one.

Just found a used one on Craigslist -- asking only $10 less than new.

Look at it this way, the seat is broken in, the ass-groove is formed

Can't wait to ride, it's been raining for the last 2 days and supposed to rain for 2 more.

Quick 30 mile test

With weather cooperating I set out on a nice leisurely ride to local CG store.
1. It could be me but I've noticed that the seat is transferring a little more vibration to the rider. I definitely felt it in one spot on the freeway where I've not felt it before. This is somewhat counterintuitive since the seat is softer.
2. The seat is softer! Very cushy.
3. The "hang one buttcheek" has to be readjusted now. The seat is not wider at the widest point (which is right by the rear cowl) but it is less curvy which means it is wider at the point where you sit, by about .5"
4. But because the seat has well-defined edges you can definitely tell when you've shifted over enough.
5. Typically after a week long break my first ride results in some lower back pain. Not this time around.
6. Not sliding into the tank. I didn't really need to make a conscious effort to stay away from the tank before, but with this seat I tend to not worry about shifting back...or at least I do it a lot less, and that's in my mesh pants which are a little slidy.

All I have to say is "My ass finally has the support it deserves". Corbin, you can contact me for the address where to send the check for this awesome marketing slogan.

I've heard many good reviews on Corbin seats... I probably should have bought one a long time ago... I just don't want to buy another Luimoto seat cover to make it match (the one I have I over did it on the staples and it wouldn't be easy to use it over on another seat)

On a side note... what tank and side panel grips are those? I really like them, especially the tank grips as thats where I would need them to be... any and all info would be appreciated!!!

You're right!!! I guess I have an old design, but glad they updated it. The fitment looks much better than the original.

This was one of my last upgrades (ebay), but it should have been the first.
