Need new tire, plz help

Barely a month into my brand new 2012 250R I park it one day and realize I've got freaking shrapnel sticking out of my rear tire. I've toyed with the idea of repairing it but between the cost and time involved, I'd rather just feel safe and replace it.

Looking at: http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/What_ti...fit_the_250%3F

.....I'd like to get a Pirelli MT75. Can I assume the tires listed on that page are compatible with all Ninjas (2012 250R)? And will putting that on my rear be okay with my front stock (which is virtually brand new)?

Thanks.

those are pregen tires. notice the 16" rim size. you want 17" rims.

edit: just noticed those tires also come in 17".... 2012 ninja 250 has 17" make sure you get 17" tires.

The smallest rear in the s20 is 150. Will that fit on the 250?

FWIW I loved my 250 with the Pirelli Sport Demons and just ordered a set for my 300.

Thanks guys. So no "yays" on the Pirelli MT75? I'm looking for something as cheap as possible. I'm fine with what the stock tires were, I'm a new rider.

Those aren't too pricey. Any more votes for one of these? Also, I take it it's ok it won't match the front? Thanks.

At motorcycle super store right now the difference between the two is like $20 for a front. BTW: Use the coupon code M320-Pirelli-5 for 5% more off. Should make up for the difference and get you a nicer tire

so long as you match radial vs bias ply it should be okay. It's also best to match brands if possible, but since you're already on Pirellis you should be okay. Usually you go through 2 rears for each front.

Yes it will. It may "knick" the chain guard a little bit but you'll never notice it until you see the small groove carved out after thousands of miles of use. Ask me how i know..

Yep, love my S20s. I got a set for $190 shipped a while back through a pricematch.

Well I totally did that backwards on my 250 then lol. Back tire was brand new when I bought it and replaced the front ASAP. Replaced the front again after damaging the front rim. Never replaced the back tire before selling.

On topic: I ran the Pirelli Sport Demon on the front of my 250 and it was a good, inexpensive tire.
