Tail Light Not Working
Hi guys, can you help me trace the source of why my tail light is not working? It lights up when I press on either of the brakes but it won't stay lit when the bike is on or running. BTW, I followed this fender eliminator thread http://www.kawiforums.com/ninja-250r...tra-parts.html

Well, looks like I fixed it. I just unplugged the bulb and plugged it back in... then it worked. WTF??? Anyone care to explain?

I've had the same thing happen. No real explaination, just a fluke.

No worries, yours is working. I just broke a rear blinker connector. Broke the little release tab. Gonna replace it with some regular crimpable bullet connectors. Maybe some shrink tube coating to keep the weather out.

Keep checking it Betlog. Kawi had a problem with bulbs something to due with the filaments or something. Mine went on and off for a while. Just buy a new one and be done with it.

Crimp connectors suck. Just put a small cable tie around the connector(between the wires) to hold it together......

Yeah I was thinking one of those thin wires from inside a twist tie might do the trick too.
I'll give it a shot and see if it leaves me any intermittent wiggle in the connector. |

I check my lights every time I ride along with my tires and oil level. Will report how long the "Zip tie mod" holds out. I'm normally careful about that sort of thing. I was shocked when I actually broke it. I'll have to be even more careful. Probably better than crimping on a few bullets. |
