I have started to plan the video for the "end of season" for this thread. You guys are in for a treat. Me and my son are authoring original music for this.

@adouglas - I would love to get a bass track from you for this. We got time if we get a jump start. If you have a recording of anything you would like to contribute, I will take it and use it where it fits. If you got nadda prerecorded, record a solo jam session and send it my way. Don't worry, I will make ya look/sound good. Thank you sir!

@Sykes92 - I know you have guitar skillz, may I please use one of your tracks in my video? Thanks to you too sir!

@EveryoneElse - If you have musical talent, your are more than welcome to contribute as well. Just pm me how to get your contribution.

I have about an hour of video right now, that is alot of background music needed. In a perfect world, it would be ALL ninjette members but I do have 2 songs that I am working with that MUST be in there, IF.... I can get permission.

Wow... that's cool.

I don't have Guitar Center disease... meaning that I don't really get into just random flailing around without context, the way the pimply-faced Saturday morning kids do at GC. It's a whole lot easier to play off of someone or something. All my recordings are in a full band setting, and they're all covers.

Tell you what... @Sykes92, if you've got a guitar track, send me a file and I'll see if I can come up with something that fits. That way we'll have a sound that's cohesive.

I'm imagining a groove that can be sliced, diced and repeated would be best.

Remember to make friends with Les Ismore. He's a good buddy of mine and I always listen to what he has to say.

More is not better. More is more.

I say this because I see you posted a vid of him wailing away on "Eruption." That stuff has its place but it gets old FAST.

The coolest tracks are the simplest ones. Always.

You're preaching to the choir. I will keep him where it needs to be, there is more to entertainment than 32nd/64th notes as fast as they can be played.

Who is Les Ismore?

Dos Equis? No...

Les(s)

Is

More

Les Ismore, get it?

People who don't know Les think that Hayabusas with wide tires, chromed everything, LEDs and extended swingarms are cool.

People who don't know Les like fake boobs and too much makeup.

People who don't know Les don't have a piercing. They have 87 piercings. On their face.

People who don't know Les put cheese on EVERYTHING.

People who don't know Les think that Hummers are a good choice as a solo commuter vehicle for urban settings.

People who DO know Les appreciate Ninjettes.

They recognize that sometimes, the most refreshing drink is a glass of cold water.

They know how to turn their cell phones/tablets/computers/TVs off and listen to the sound of the rain.

They find deep satisfaction in watching their kids play in the back yard.

They know elegant simplicity when they see it, and they embrace it.

Introduce your son to some old Santana. That guy can say more with four notes than Eddie Van H. can with 4,000.

You choose. All we know is that Chris has some motorcycling footage to fiddle with.

Though if you've got the "I Love You, You Love Me" song from Barney, that would be awesome.

Or we could wait to see what this original music Chris refers to is all about.....

I got some acoustic stuff and some jazzy/harder stuff, my son is all about rock but has some classic influences.

I have meet a prominent member of the ninjette community this week, and hope to meet another prominent member next month. Each of these members has done much for ninjette and are MOTM winners. Can't wait for those updates to this thread.

As for now, I am 50% loaded for PitRace (Beaver). Round 4 will be a blast!!! Kevin is going to be back on the track with me. After his last highside, he was seriously thinking about giving it a break. I paid for his track time and told him I was his personal coach the whole day. He has crashed 6 out of the last 8 track days we have done together, and this time.... he is NOT crashing, I GUARANTEE IT!

This will be the 4th time I have been a "personal" coach at a track and I truly love it. I honestly know for 100% fact, that I am a teacher at heart.

We will also be camping with the daughter so she can get some cart time in. I hope she has a great time.

I've only got two recorded tracks that are mixed/mastered. Of the two, this is one probably works best with motorcycle footage. You're absolutely free to use it if you wish. I can even send you the wma, so you wouldnt have to rip it off YT.

Link to original page on YouTube.

I've been stupid busy so idk if I have time to record something new haha. I can see about toying around with something, but it would pretty much be in a similar style to the song above, simply because that's how I write haha.

A last minute addition before I hit the track for the weekend.

I bought a track r6. It needs a little tlc here and there but it will fit the bill just fine and can be put on the street when I am done floggin' it.

Complementary pic below as she sits right now.

EDIT: Awww my bad, I forgot the point of this thread in excitement. The gent that I bought the bike from crash it obviously but is alright. Left turner.... We chatted for about 2 hours as I looked over everything. Turns out, we had ridden together on a few group rides a season or so ago. He was geared from head to toe, aside of a bump and bruise, he will ride again. In fact, he travels to Vermont trail riding is Yammi 450. I may go with him sometime as my 125 needs a really good trip to it's merit.

I'm sooooooooo totally jealous right how... This is EXACTLY what I want, a fixer upper to make into a track bike... Good luck with your build and don't forget to make a build thread... Would be awesome to watch

so long as the end result looks like some badass post apocalyptic masterpiece it's all good

good to hear that the previous owner turned out fine though, that bike is all kinds of smashed up

Not my usual genre but that's cool. I'll play anything. Please send the the WMA and, if you don't mind, a chord chart just to save me a bit of time. I can figure stuff out by ear but it's a whole lot easier if I've got a starting point.

The basic progression and structure are enough, but better would be the actual chords... man/min/7th etc. ... so I can think about harmonies.

With the heaviest of hearts I post this. A hand that I shook earlier this year and fellow MCRA racer is no longer with us. He was doing what he loved and racing with his father this weekend at Gateway (St. Louis) when he went down.

RIP Chris Knauer #74

There is good news too. I meet @ChrisJuliano this weekend while he did his first track day. It was my pleasure to help ya'lls load up for the ride home. GET YOU SOME GOOD STRAPS!!!!!

Glad your first time out was a success. Tell your friend on the triumph that he had a job well done too.

heres video from that day! glad meeting you really wish we could of went out together sucks we had to meet at the end of the day.

Thats sorta the problem with being in novice with moto series I literally ran off the track straight to my spot, parked and ran up to the class then ran back and had to fly back out on track haha. To busy of a day to meet anyone or have one on one questions/answers.

But thanks for all the help and was def good talking to you and meeting you in person.

Guess who I meet last week... @NevadaWolf yep, that's who.

We meet up without much issue at a gas station. After a quick hug, we ran into one of my fellow 250 racing buddies and we all chatted for about 30 mins. He just couldn't believe she had rode that 250 from NV.

We were just a few blocks away from the AFJ Race shop and where I go for my bike nights, so I asked if Teri was hungry and wanted to get a cold drink. She said yes of course and off we went. I bought her meal, we laughed and chatted for about 2 hours in total while waiting out a spot shower (downpour) and she rested and of course I made some reciept art for her. But I will let her post that pic if she wants.

After the rain was done, I escorted her back to her route where we meet and off she went after a quick fill up.

Oh heck... With everything going on, I forgot to give a race update.

Sun. June 29
250 Superbike Race 1: 2nd
250 Superbike Race 2: 2nd

Some super fun racing, I couldn't catch little Jace and all of his 130lbs so I had some fun with the 3rd place racer Don. He is an awesome racer despite his "form factor". Never underestimate a heavier racer, they will surprise the crap outta ya and pass ya outta nowhere. Below is the video proof, race 2 of Sunday where we both set personal best lap times. 1:14's on 250's at PitRace!
