Was a good Thanksgiving with bits of rest and bits of yard work.
I raked up all the leaves off of he lawn only to wake up the next morning with the yard covered again.

Mix some chopped up turkey with the cat food. That’s what I do with my dog.

awwwwe!!! what an adorable pup! as far as the turkey goes, I guess Ziggy is just getting picky in his old age. He loves chicken, but only licked the turkey pieces and walked away. like I said, more for me he has no problem eating his regular food, so it's all good.

I got to do turkey dinner twice! We cooked at home on Thursday, and had one of my friends over, and the major disaster of the day was that the green beans in her dish that she brought weren't cooked. She was terribly upset. Then Saturday we were guests at our friends' house for a friends-T-giving and a viewing of Christmas Vacation movie. I'd forgotten how funny it was.

And now it's one of my favorite seasons- leftover turkey time!!! Plus it's also eggnog season. Yum yum yum.

Of course, it's also Nutcracker season, so I'll be living that for a week and a half. It doesn't look like I'll be dealing with the set-from-hell this year, though, on a Nutcracker show in the other theater where I work, so there's that.

welp, thanks to the tax man, I can kiss my trip to Mid Ohio this year goodbye. Even with the standard deduction getting doubled to $12,000 (from just over $6,000), I somehow owe almost $600

At least I'll still have Palmer....

Sorry about you having to pay this year. I try to break even with my taxes but it’s sometimes hard to get it just right. I haven’t done my taxes yet so I’m crossing my fingers that I won’t have to pay.

I’m watching the Super Bowl at the moment.

usually I owe in federal right around what I get back from state, so it's a wash. Apparently, i bumped into the next tax bracket up last year. That combined with my employer taking out less taxes from my checks (I didn't ask them to do that, and didn't realize that was happening, my checks looked roughly the same) equals me getting screwed.

at least I know what I'll need to have saved up for April...

is the puppy bowl on yet?

I didn't. I even missed the puppy bowl. I think the only time I've ever watched the super bowl was last year. I felt like going out and being social, so I went to the club I used to waitress at. They had it on. I couldn't even tell you what teams were playing. I was hammered.
