In town? Is that Honolulu? If I did I'd probably do the one right by my house. What is pay like there? It would have to be enough to pay for daycare and a little or a lot extra.

to be honest, the pay sucks. with tips i make about 10-11/hr. doubt thats enough to cover day care, other bills, and save for your bike. but a job is a job in my books. its just enough to get by with my brother and i sharing an apartment. yes, honolulu is what i ment referring to when i said "in town"

I bet. It wasn't crashed and was only 3500. I sold my crashed one for 3500 :P

Little update on my engine: I did some research, and it's likely the adjusting screw backed out, instead of just shooting out. The engine still runs, so it's likely it's just a bent valve. I'll need to replace the valve, tappet screw, nut, and cover, and the valve guide. I know I can do all that myself except MAYBE removing and replacing the valve guide. Parts for it shouldn't be more than $75.

Bike runs fine.
Valves seem to have not killed themselves.
Rejetted again, this time with proper size jets that make sense.
Went from 120/45 (stock is 100/38) to 115/42. Top end pulls like a bull, but bottom end is still rich. Need to go 40 slows.
Need to get a mid-pipe made. Then I'll have a proper exhaust (it's a surprise ), and will probably have to drop down to 110/40, maybe even 110/38.
There's still various leaks that I can't pinpoint or fix.

Was just about to post about this.

I was riding to the gas station this morning to fill up. I was emptier than I thought, and I ran out of gas. I was still a decent ways away, so I took off my helmet and gloves and strapped it on my turn signal stalk. I was pushing it from Meheula by the high school, and once I got near the post office, I used the absolutely last of my gas to make it from there to that turn by mcdonalds. Since it was an impromptu decision, I didn't stop to put my helmet and **** on. It died at the light, so I pushed it the rest of the way. I went inside for about fifteen seconds to pay, and when I came out, my helmet was gone. Some asshole decided to steal it. So I went back inside to ask them to look at the footage. I guess whoever took it was inside and heard me or something, because they must've dumped it while driving, because it was all torn up. Visor scratched, gopro mount ground down, and some other scrapes. Some C&C agriculture crew found it and I went to the tree nursery down at the T-junction of Lanikuhana and Meheula (it's the dirt road you can see from the stop sign) to get it back.

That blows man. Yeah, I saw u at the light by McD making the left on Kam Hwy. I don't understand what's wrong with people. I just hope they get their **** stolen.

Side note..for those that aren't on my FB page...I got a job as the assistant manager at patriot outfitters in the PX. Pay is kind of weird for a AM but I get 1% commission. I think I'm training for manager cause they are opening a store at Hickam. Anyone know what minimum wage is?

Does anyone know for the Pro Hero1 is there another case besides the waterproof one? My hubby and I notice while riding and filming it got foggy. Thinking about getting Hero 2 for me so we can film different angles. And where is a good place to mount it without falling off besides the helmet? I see a lot of videos where they mount it on the side or by the foot peg.

@ninjagurl, congrats on the job.

if you don't have a tinted windscreen, they make gas cap camera mounts. something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Mou...sim_sbs_auto_2

Yes there's an open backing for the case. The manual says it's for <100mph, while the waterproof one is for 100mph+ and water.

I'm gonna have to double check what my pay is...its not much more than that. I'm not sure if that was my training pay or what. But it seems really small for an assistant manager. Plus, the part time people won't me making much less.

No idea. Was supposed to start tomorrow to get the store set up cause right now its completely empty...no shelves or anything. Got a call today that they did receive their product so its postponed. Stores supposed to be open on Wednesday. You can come visit. I done think they sew anything. At least the other store dont but.they also had full sew shops in the PX.

Damn I can't decide what helmet I want. There's a shelf model X-Twelve in the design that I absolutely want (and is discontinued) for a good deal, but a brand new RF-1100 in a design that's pretty cool too only costs me about $40 more, but I get a free face shield ($50 value). The RF-1100 is a better deal for the amount I'm paying, but the X-Twelve is more savings on MSRP, and it's the design I want.

Sigh...finally decided to sell her http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/mcy/3027875422.html You guys think this is reasonable?

Also Jaymie, I can vouch for how awesome RF-1100s are. The airflow and weight of the helmet is awesome, plus you get 7 adjustable vents.
