Old gen EX wins E Superstock @ CMRA races Hallett

Congrats to Jess Foltz and the Road & Track Cycles/Suspension 02' ninja 250 w/ 08 forks/wheels on the win in the CMRA E Superstock race at Hallett. Jess Foltz took the win over a field of new generation EX250's by 18+ seconds on the Michelin shod "old Ninja" during the 6 lap race.

So please show some love for the ugly step child of a ninja.

I was adding up the possibilities today, if Jess gets 1st the next 3 rounds and i can't do better than two seconds and a third then my championship hopes are gone

he passed me going into turn 11 during practice... he goes into that turn HOT. we had the same corner and exit speed, but he straight up kicked my ass on entrance.

I like the idea of the fork and wheel swap - the 16s on the old gen is a big turn off for tire selection - interesting

Yea, we run the 120 power one A front and the 150 A rear for short endurance races and the B rear for anything longer than 6 hours.

Jon, I thought you had this thing wrapped up?
Hmm... Maybe I'll race it again to shake things up and keep it interesting. I usually beat Jess so that could work to your advantage.

i kinda thought i had it wrapped up too, but i'm only up by 19 points right now and he's gaining on me by about 10 points per round....

if i can just get some decent starts and stay in front of joey and jeff then i'll be better off. i have a hard time getting around those guys. we're all pretty evenly matched.

Great to hear that an old gen can keep up (hmm...beat) the new gen 250's. Have any pics/vid from the race?
