Ninja 300 Release date guess???

Question: Did they give any sort of idea as to when the 2013 Ninja 300 will arrive at dealers? I plan on putting my down payment in tmrw or Monday.

If they haven't, is there a general area of time which they normally release in?

Also: When do you expect to see two brothers and other aftermarket companies announce their gear for the 300??

Can't wait for this by the way...some extra highway oomph with updated looks is definitely enough for a college kid to say "forget eating" and put the money towards a bike...

You would betray the pregen brotherhood like this? We shall cast you from our highest peak, unto the dustiest street with only the stock tires at your disposal.

If you're in college I wouldn't put a brand new bike on the top of your priorities list, especially something that will put you into a hole about $5-6k deep.

I'm just saying this since you already have a pre-gen.

I have no bike as of now. I sold mine back in July. I've saved up mone ysince then and plan on putting 2k down and doing three years financing...figure it'll come out to about 100-110 a month plus insurance...which I am able to afford (well paid internships are well paid)

@rph12 - I haven't heard a time frame on the new bike BUT I have also been thinking of starting payments to get one...I have had my PRE-GEN for 6k miles now and have been looking for a super deal on a 2008-2012 for a while with no rush BUT now that this "new" little monster is coming out. I AM IN!!! Maybe Ill go by the dealer today and will post what they tell me later.

47cc's. fun.

taller 6th gear ratio. good for commuting.

Wider rim that fits 140's. GREAT FOR USING UBER STICKY TIRES!!!!!

fuel injection, not the deal breaker. I converted my bike to FI for a tinkering project. It's nice. Very convenient. Both fuel delivery systems have their disadvantages. It's a lot easier to limp a carbureted bike home if anything goes wrong on a ride. It's also easier to tune a carb'd bike.

My guess would be Oct/Nov

Highly doubt Kawi would do a big event now and then wait til Dec/Jan to release them

I have already put my money down and they told me because of their dealer status they should be able to get mine no later than Nov but it could be as soon as Oct. Some dealers may wait longer unlike this one.

Hope this helps some.

Yeah, I'm expecting a late October or November release as well. Seems to be the typical time-frame for bikes and given the announcement now, it would make sense.

Easy go to the dealer and they will take deposit as soon s MSRP is announced at least in my case. I went last thus right after the unveiling and made my order.

I have been riding for 30 years so I am not going into this bike to blind. I have been on the new gen 250 and owned the old gen ninja in the early 90s so I am not to worried about negatives connected with this bike.

I sat on a couple different bikes. And after ridding my 250 the 300 feels the same just a little less cramped . I can say after checking it out I dot see any possible disappointment for the price.

You can't buy Mx bike for that price

hmm

Well, I guess I could make a deposit (Only if we agreed that I'd get my deposit money back if I didn't like it). Do they typically give you a written OTD price during the time you make a deposit?

Most of the Pittsburgh dealers unbox theirs beginning of April. I would call perhaps Mosites. Gatto will charge out the ass for dumb fees. They wanted over $5k for my 250 and I got OTD at Mosites for $4400 for a leftover 2010.

The guy I worked with before isn't there anymore but they're pretty low pressure. You say no to the warranty they take that.

Hope this isn't the case.

I just called a dealer and he told me they'll have a 'couple' of them in stock in late October / early November.

Then he added that they won't have any more until January next year. Again, probably just a scare tactic or their way of saying "we want your money now". Still thinking about making a deposit though.

First off, i'm glad to be back on ninjette! I thought I was going to pull the trigger on a used CBR600RR but I'm glad Kawasaki made a new 300R for the U.S. finally! It seems to be the perfect bike for me, since I don't care all that much about power.

I wanted a 600 more for styling and wider rear wheel (freeway riding with my 09 ninja 250R was kinda scary sometimes). But this new 300R should be the ticket. All my friends with 600s and 1000s made/make fun of me for loving my old 250 (sold her about a year ago), but that bike was fun! I never even started pushing the envelope but I can't wait to try this 300R out.

Surprisingly, a lot of Kawasaki riders aren't too thrilled about this bike? I thought everyone would be psyched.

I'm stoked about it! But I'm a poor college guy. My money has other priorities. I could buy one, but then I would be flat broke.

just borrow your friends text book or go 50/50, and eat ramen noodles.

enjoying life takes the front seat.
