NY Riders

Hey any of you guys still riding? I make my way out once a week when it hits above 45.

Anyway I'm wondering if any of you guys have interest in a trip this spring/summer maybe we can do a camping trip somewhere either upstate NY or out in PA or even further doesn't matter to me. Some guys where talking about a rally in WV we could even do something like that and ride together. Just getting ideas but I'd like to stretch out on my bike this coming season and I'd like to do it with a group of guys I've been out with before. I'm thinking 2 days of riding 1 night of camping. So we do a full day ride 4-6hrs campout and ride back the next day. Let me know what you think. Just spitballing at this point.

@eddiekay, @urbaninja, @nycsteve, @kraazy, @fizzer914, and whoever else I missed

I'm always riding.

I'm actually planning my trips for this coming year/summer as well. I'm interested in a 2 day ride/camp and what not.

Schedule for me (so far):

March 2: Open house at NJMP. - We should plan a trip.

April 21: Track day with Tony's Track Days (First Timer). - Whoever wants to go should let me know.

May 24: California Superbike School Level 1. - Going to be very fun.

June-July: Planning on going to the Mid-Ohio Track Day with @Miles_Prower and a few others.

August: East Coast Ninja 250r Rally - I have been planning this too. Waiting for the exact day before I fully commit. @Miles_Prower is interested as well.

I am down to ride anytime-anywhere. Just let me know in advanced. I ride out to PA at least once a month to see family in Red Lion. If we go to PA, Miles and Eddie can help us out with roads and destinations. Also, he rides with the DE/MA/DC group as well.

I put about 13k miles last year (first year). I'm hoping to beat that this year.

I've been warm for the most part. Just hands that get a bit cold (even though I have a pair of heated liners at home).

Yeah, When I go to the Dragon I don't think I'll camp. Will probably be too exhausted from riding all the way down to want to be uncomfortable in the woods or something lol

Hey Gumby! Yea, I'm going with the NYCSBR group as well and hope to catch the MD, DC, PA, NJ Facebook group there. I'm taking the CSS on 5/24! I originally had it for 5/20 but had to change my registration due to school.

See ya on March 2!

Sounds good. You'll be in just in time for some really good rides if you make it in May.

Jon is a cool guy. We had a lot of fun on the Ocean City Ride! I hope to see him and the rest of the folks out there again. Hopefully at NJMP.

P.S. Cool photos!

Where are you riding on April 21? I looked at TTD schedule and it lists April 22 & 23 at NJMP.

They changed the schedule since I posted that. I was going to reserve to ride that Sunday. They also changed the look of there website. I can't go during the week because of school in the evenings (6pm). I can do either NY on June 2-3 or NJMP on July 7-8, or both!

Let me know if you'll be doing any of these.

Steve...was thinkig about you the other day....actually drove by sunday but didnt see the bike. Got a chain breaker you can use and make sure you get the kind with a clip...or else you'll need a press too. And BTW....I have a set of '11 sprockets with 3500 miles...i think..i'm pretty sure i do.

Hey eddie, it's been too long! I was in Jersey on Sunday until about 2pm. I ordered a chain that has a clip, but also ordered an x-rivet with it, dunno how im getting this thing on. That chain breaker will be mighty handy, when can i get it? I can meet you anywhere you'd like. I ordered sprockets, 15/45, but I'll take a look at that sprocket you have.

First Group Ride/Meet & Greet?

The chain breaker is a small tool BUT...this occurs to me...if you want....you'll prob have to come get it. If you come get it.....I have stands, the tools, the extra sprocks and a garage so you might want to do it here ?
Long story short is that mom got sick... I've become a primary caregiver and I'm pretty much tied to home nights and weekends. If that doesnt work...I know someone who works around you and i may be able to send the stuff with him for you to pick up where he works.
Track days,,,,track school ? Good for you. As for me...the best I can hope for is little short punk ass rides....1/2 day max...I cant even go fast anymore becuz I have responsibility now...sold the FZ6...rode the 250 maybe 100 miles since thanksgiving. Sheeet...life has changed but life goes on and i'm thankful for that. Besides.....I had 40+ years of fun on the bike...I'm not bitchin' but it looks like the party is almost over.

Eddie, Sucks to hear but good luck with your mom and everything else.

I think it would be a heck of a lot easier to do at your garage. I can do this weekend, but let me know what time is best for you. I'll contact you by friday to set a time.

I don't think you're done yet, you were having too much fun with us last year for me to even believe that the riding is over. Maybe time for a more relaxed riding position bike, like a cruiser. Plus we all know @rPanda likes the short rides too so we can all still have some fun. But whatever you do, know we are all here.

lol!

Eddie super sorry to hear about your mom - I know how difficult it is to be a primary caregiver.

I ran up to Bear mtn this weekend - ride seemed ok until I got home and it took me 2 hours to warm up. This weekend is supposed to be up to 50 so maybe a good weekend to head up?

I don't know anymore; we got snow AND someone slightly backed into my bike! I now have a hole on my right side fairing, right in between the side and front cowlings.

I might try to repair the bike this weekend, if i find the rest of the missing plastic pieces. I hope that the bike was slightly backed into rather than being dropped because I just replaced that right side handlebar.

I think I might just call insurance company because this is the 4th time something like this has happened to the bike. I wonder if they would do anything.

I ride my dirt bike. Too much sand and ice for street. Plus the bike is currently receiving maintenance.

This happened to me too. Some *ssclown dropped my bike on it's side and the right indicator punched a hole in my fairing.

If you didn't get a chance to fix yours this weekend you up for a tech day?

OMG Please!

Also, WELCOME @Percious!

If you can make it, come through this weekend for a tech day (assuming we are doing that) and group ride after. Does anyone have or know of a place to work on the bikes? I normally do all my work on my street/sidewalk, but if anyone has something or somewhere better, lets do it there.

I say we start early to get things done quickly. This will be a meet and greet/tech day with a group ride after. Ride destination depends on where we actually have the tech day. Mostly likely to somewhere we can get something to eat/drink or a loop around the city. This will be a slow beginners ride pace.

So far it's:
