I like everything except for the tank cover, but I guess you could leave that off. If I ever turn my bike into a track bike I will definitely consider this, though it doesn't look like it has a solid belly pan.

Greg, yes that is a swingarm cover. The OP is a distributor for Sprotisi and he could get that for you if you want. Here is the thread discussing that

Yes actually it does. The belly pan mounts on the inside of the body kit so you don't see it. This kit utuilizes the facotory mounting points and will mate with the stock front cowl.

Heat and humidity is a bitch over there. But it certainly isn't as hot as an August trackday at Thunderhill in Willows, CA.

Yup two years ago it was 115 when I went. But it was hell for two weeks. 111 was the lowest temp. As for the cooling duct on the bike it does help. M1 has them for a reason and the sportisi kit does too.

OK, but the M1 is pushing 225+ crank hp out of a 800cc engine (280 hp/liter!), has a very high pressure, and high dollar, cooling system to keep it somewhat reliable for the 500 total miles each engine has to run. We've got a terrifically understressed motor in the ninjette, pumping out 31-ish crank hp out of a 250cc engine (125 hp/liter), with a cooling system that is more than large enough for its needs in any conditions, even if pumped up to mid 30's crank hp. I know the cooling system on our bikes is sufficient but a little cooler running engine never hurt either. On the other forum people want me to run down and take my bike to a windtunnel for an aerodynamics test. I won't argue that it performs like the cooling on a M1 because it simply does not. I argue more to the tune of the duct not having aero issue like everyone thinks the cooling duct creates. I mean to use the M1 reference more in that conotation. Its largely more because this is something new and it is out side of the comfort box when people start making changes which they are not accustomed to seeing. I think this is why some are resistant to the kit and are trying to tear it apart in the other forum.

Either way it's a hell of a kit and the best deal on the market.

I'm still taking my sweet time. I'm about half way done. I can have a website with prices but it doesn't do me much good without adequate stocks. Everything I had coming over in July is nearly all spoken for. September is the realistic goal for it to be fully functional as a company.

I'm just skeptical that the inlet is actually helping anything. The airbox isn't pulling air from there and the bike doesn't run hot.

If you've got a temp gauge on the bike like Kkim's got to read the temps, that would be helpful.

People aren't accustomed to seeing a big air inlet on a 250 because it's not needed.

I don't think it really makes a difference to anything that the inlet in the fairing is there or not. I just don't see the connection with the M1. The M1 has a large rear tire but it wouldn't really make sense to have it on our bike.

This is what I've been trying to get across. The hole is designed for cooling. But whether its there or not it doesn't really matter on our bikes. It is more for looks than anything else and does not hinder the aero on the bike. If it helps with cooling a little then great if the temps are then same they are the same. It is M1 inspired not derived. Its a different look for those who want something different. If you like it then great if you don't then no hard feelings.

I'm looking into making a ram air duct for this but we will see how that goes.

Bram just sent me pics. I think it turned out pretty good. I told him I wanted the bottom sticker for sure then left him to his devices. Price on the paint job was amazing it was Free. So no complaints from me.

I find it funny how a bike redesign all of a sudden triggers a huge aftermarket.

Makes me want to sell mine and get an 08/09. Just for the aftermarket.

I mean that bodywork alone is a good enough reason for me to get the newer model. Well that and tire selection is so much better. I'll have to think about it.

May just say screw it and get a 600...that way aftermarket will never be an issue.
