Dragon Run

Sorry for the short notice.

@DevinWolfe and I are headed up to the Dragon tomorrow for some easy-going fun. Meeting at 8am at the Weigels on Middlebrook and Lovell.

Weather couldn't have been more perfect.

There was a group of Ducati's and a group of Buell's. The rest of the stuff was your ordinary GSXR, R6, ZX6R stuff. I did snap a picture of some cool RX-7's.

There was some wet on the ground for the first run up to the store but it cleared up on our way back. I think Devon got some video footage. The road was great, the people were great. I had a good time.

Was an awesome ride! Weather was beautiful after the clouds left from the first run. I survived my first Dragon run and have almost no chicken strips left.

10/10 - would do it again.

Pics won't be posted for a couple of days. Moonshine and US129photos were up there too. We rode from about 9-1 give or take and in between.

Be jelly, chodeymcchoderson. 'Twas fun!

My first visit to the Tree of Shame. Luckily I didn't have any parts to leave on this venture.

Haha yeah, my leather jacket usually covers up more of my fat @$$ but it has no armor or ventilation. I guess I could always lose more weight, but meh.... effort. Plumbers crack for now.

Too bad my textile jacket doesnt have a zipper for pants. : /

(Assuming decent weather) How about a follow-up trip this upcoming weekend? I got my rear shock cranked down from 1 to 4 tonight for the fat guy setting and I will be shimming my needles this week after having popping on decel and somewhat surgy roll-ons at mid-range.

Honda Demo days is next weekend and I kind of wanted to go to that. I may be able to sneak in a Dragon Run, though.

Also, pics are up on Killboy. I'll find out which pages.

What time were you there? I went down thursday to sunday for the rotorary rally. Didn't see any 250's though. Was a long road trip, can't wait to take the bike.

I will also be at the Honda/Yam event. Hadn't considered how long it would be, so maybe a late afternoon run or just go on sunday. I still have to find 3mmit washers, all I could find at Home Depot were #6 and 4mm.

Most of it is of the pavement in front of the bike because I never adjusted the angle after I installed the clip-ons with a more aggressive posture. Some came out alriight, but I need to cut the useless footage and I have never done video editing so I'll have to figure that out.

DevinWolfe:

Adjustable but solid camera mount for your tank. You just need to get a pair of the right sized screws because they aren't all the right length.

87 rx-7 s4. See here for pic. fist time, but not the last. The roads down there are great, wish we had them up here.

Hopefully you didn't run into the jeeps doing the gap, wasn't much room there with them on.

I use an MD-80 (clone) mounted inside my helmet, so I will need to cut a little more foam and tilt it back some. I got the camera primarily just to record my commuting in case someone else wrecks me. I just wanted to be able to protect myself from false claims, but I seem to be using it more to review my habits in traffic.

720x480 so it's definitely no GoPro footage.

Haha very cool! It looks like I will be on the Vulcan for a few days while I wait for my jets/k&n filter to arrive. I started the evening only planning to shim the needles and replace the JIS with allens but after spending 3 hours (no ****) yanking the stock airbox out I decided it is NOT going back in.

So if you guys wanna hit the Dragon this weekend I will have to do it on my cruiser, which is fine since it has Metz 880s, too bad I drag hard parts so often.

Yeah, my garage is a mess right now, wanna fight about it?

The poor Ninja:
