Easy/Cheap Mods for Performance?

Are there are cheap and/or easy modifications for a small boost in performance with the Ninjette?

Haha! I actually could use practice with shifting. But you know, then I have the no gear problem. Lol. I'm working on performance + visuals for when I get my bike really riding in the spring.

But is there actually an optimal RPM range to shift for the highest acceleration?

It's called bad throttle/clutch control

If the bike "jumps" that means you are letting the clutch out too fast.

Well, thank you for confirming what I suspected.
What am I doing wrong? Should I be holding the clutch in longer and after I shift up and slowly give it more gas or what?

Is it just something I adjust to (shifting better) or what?
I'll go look for some shifting videos now.

Further explanation: You are letting the clutch out too fast and not backing off on the throttle as you release.

Well...I agree with everything here but to "really" answer your question I think Pipercross air filter and if you have time....shim your needles, remove the snorkel and do the zip tie mod....this last two are free XD

Some NGK IRIDIUM spark plugs (CR8EIX).... and all this for under 60 bucks I think....

If you want to spend more cash...exhaust system

You don't need performance until you can push your bike to almost it's limits given not everyone does track...
