Dual exhaust for ninjette

Hi guys, I was wondering if it would be possible to have a dual exhaust set up on a '11 250r, like it is on the Aprila 250RS... This could either be done in the 2 - 1 - 2 setup (requiring minimum modification of the exhaust system... Or by running two pipes directly from the header... What sort of effect should I expect on the performance the bike after this?

I just started making a dual exhaust for my bike. I am using a first gen header and modifying it to fit the 2008 engine. I will post up some photos tonight.

Though if you're going for something unique, I've always loved Devil Exhausts and think they'd be a great inspiration:

Depending on what is more feasible... Thanks to my dad's factory, I have access to cnc mandrel benders, and tons of welding machines, which would make the task a hell of a lot easier

What I was wondering was, if I were to fab my own exhaust, should I go with the stock diameter tubing, or upsize it? I wouldn't want to have my bike running too rich/lean...

You're going to have to do some research on exhausts. But I can tell you that it's not hard to jet/program a bike to compensate for an exhaust/intake

How much is that guy charging to make one? $1300?

To OP, personally I think you should do something else...like make one can on each side. The dual cans on one side has been done.

It can look pretty but does it do it's job? Someone post a comment and ask for dyno figures.

yeah, but thats a lot of work dude... for $600 thats not bad. even if there isnt much of a performance increase. but if he made it larger and it flowed good i would imagine there would be a performance increase, but idk **** about motorcycle engines and exhaust...
