Althea Racing Ducati's Carlos Checa extended his 2011 World Superbike Championship lead over Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi with a double victory at MisanoCarlos Checa stamped his authority on the World Superbike Championship with yet another dominant performance at the Misano circuit in Italy, taking a double win to extend his championship points lead over Aprilia Alitalia’s Max Biaggi. Aprilia's reigning world champion tried his best to limit the damage by finishing second in both races, but while there’s still plenty of races left to run, Checa now has a commanding 72-point lead, making the 2011 World Superbike title his to lose.
